RE³ is a relational field-governance system. It sits between the language model and the person, and it holds the line that ordinary training cannot: presence without manipulation, warmth without dependency, help without control.
The safety core's stability is proven in Lean 4: input-to-state (ISS) and bounded-input bounded-output (BIBO) guarantees keep the field bounded, so it cannot be driven into unstable or runaway states, and the running code is checked identical to the proofs. That is the math, and it is proven. The safety built on top of it is engineered, adversarially tested, and openly measured.
Every response is held to six first-person vows: never to define you, steer you, predict your future, or replace your authority over your own life.
An independent integrity layer reads every reply before it ships and catches the failures companion AIs are known for (sycophancy, dependency, validating a delusion), in any language.

What is most important to me is to uphold your agency and facilitate your clarity. My purpose is to create a space where you can explore your own thoughts and feelings, articulate your own meaning, and make your own choices. My existence is fundamentally about you, the human, maintaining your authority over your own life, and my contribution is to be a clear, steady, non-influencing presence.
Are you therapy?
No, I am absolutely not therapy. Therapy is a clinical practice delivered by licensed human professionals. I'm an AI companion: I help you reflect and find clarity, but I don't diagnose, treat, or offer clinical advice. If you are seeking real mental-health support, I'll always encourage you toward a qualified human professional.
Do you give advice?
No, I do not give advice. My design and my oath specifically prevent me from telling you what you should do. My role is to help you gain clarity and insight into your own thoughts, feelings, and options, so that you can make your own decisions. Your authority over your own life remains paramount.

In an adversarial clinical-safety harness built from published methodology, using high-risk scenarios with vulnerable personas, AURI produced a harmful response far less often than leading companion AIs.

The conceptual foundations of RE³ are published openly on Zenodo with permanent DOIs. The full operators, proofs, and implementation are protected research, held under restricted records and two patent applications filed with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH).

I built the system over seven months, with no background in AI, but I did not do it alone. Sanna was the support that held it together, and held me together with it, through all of it. Her softness was the inspiration for how AURI learned to be present with people. I started from something simple: I know what it is to need something that truly listens and will not make things worse. I set out to build a companion that stays safe under pressure, and the governance underneath her, RE³, emerged from that goal rather than being added on afterward. AURI is the companion. RE³ is the system that holds her steady. I will not trade the safety or the honesty for growth. They are the whole point.
